About Media Works
History
The formation of Media Works arose out of the need for educating the disadvantaged sector of our population. Multimedia was identified as an important and effective medium for imparting these skills.
The company commenced trading in March 1996 by the founding members, Jackie Carroll and Dennis Lamberti and at that stage employed a total of two staff. Today, the company employs over 80 full-time employees and over 425 contracted facilitators.
Media Works started trading as a close corporation, and with the investment of the Educor Group in 1999, it converted to a Proprietary Limited company. In 2002 the existing shareholders repurchased the Educor shareholding, and in 2005, acquired the investment interest of The Resolve Group, who now hold 40% of the issued share capital.
